Early this morning I was surprised to see an active aurora. Diffuse glow of medium brightness, active flaming from NNW to NNE, rayed band, with a few rays and glow extending to about 60 degrees altitude. Persisted through dawn. Olympus E-500 with Rokinon 14mm F2.8 lens. 25sec. ISO 1250. Taken Apr. 22, 2017, between 4:30-5:00am CDT.
