Details:
After a field of altocumulus had dissolved into a thin cloud veil, sections of a very small elliptical halo appeared around the sun. Its vertical radius was estimated as 2 degs, its horizontal radius as 1 deg. The sun is covered by a black glass, remaining visible however as the white disc, and thus being the scale of half a degree.
