It's high noon here in central California with a sun Halo and I believe is a single passing Polar Stratospheric Cloud. Thought they are polar!

I guess those are not the stratospheric PSC clouds, since these can only appear in much higher latitudes, where stratosphere tempertures can fall below -80C (-115F) only. The iridescent clouds are more likely thin and smooth-edged lenticular altocumulus or altostratus formations, clouds of the middle level family. The iridescence is great!
