Details:
Today while I was watching the sky for Mammatus clouds during a few isolated Anvil clouds passing I noticed straight up over head an Circumzenithal Arc. It was very vivid and was easy to spot, I grabbed the camera and took this attached photo..The Circumzenithal Arc was formed as one of the Anvil clouds moved off further south trialling the higher cloud with it. At the time I took this photo the sun was 19.31 degrees above the horizon, which was close to when this arcs are most vivid at 22 degrees... It was a mixed day today plenty of clear spells and heavy shower, which is why I had my eye on the sky all day.. I have included a video link from youtube which gives more detail on this arc.. video is not mine but very accurate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbXoEKPYees this is the first time I have seen this particular Arc and i waited a long time to witness one. Location : Ballintra, Co Donegal Ireland Photo by Noel Keating kind regards.
