Details:
With the touch down points being only 2,000 feet apart, you know it wasn't your normal rainbow, especially with its white color. Left leg is in the Gulf of Mexico while the right leg was in a saltwater lagoon. A rising sun was still burning through the fog when I photographed the full arch. {full size jpgs are downloadable at flickr site}

I saw something very similiar in upstate ny. We had been having heavy rain but it cleared before sunset. I was facing the east and of course the sun was in a westerly direction.
