It was my night off from guiding with Lights over Lapland. I had been indoors all day and busy with admin so when I saw the sky was clear and the aurora forecast was good it was a no-brainer to head outside, get some fresh air and shoot some aurora! The moon was getting quite bright, yet that did not stop me experiencing a beautiful show tonight. Just as I was about to call it a night I took a quick look at the forecast and with a BZ that had been heading south for sometime I decided another 45 minute wait could pay off. It most certainly did. Beautiful auroras dancing overhead as I stood alone at a location just 10km from Abisko, with just the groans of a freezing Lake Tornetrask to keep me company! www.imagesofwildlife.co.uk
