Details:
Mark Staples here on Little Lake Santa Fe tonight. Beautiful clear sky, 70deg, light west wind and on-time launch of a defense department missile detection satellite onboard an Atlas 5 into a geosynchronous orbit at 7:43pm. This was a 3 minute exposure showing the first stage. Unexpectedly there were 2 airplanes crossing paths with each other and the rocket during this picture. Mosquitoes were bad too!
