Details:
Mars and Neptune appeared less than 0.5ยบ apart on the evening of January 1, 2017. I used a 300mm zoom on my Canon Rebel SL1. The exposure was 46s using the iOptron camera drive. 800 ISO f/5.6. There was some high cirrus.
