Details:
The close conjunction New Year's eve was rained out in Tucson, so I'll have to settle for the night before. Even the night before it was cloudy before dusk, then a thin window through the clouds for a short time after Sunset, then solid clouds again. This photo: 24 images X 36 mp Nikon D810 images captured with a Nikon 180 mm F2.8, 0.5 sec @ ISO 3200 stacked and then deconvoluted. The final image adjusted and labeled before posting. Mars was located directly over the lights of Tucson as observed from the foothills above that is the most challenging direction from this observing site.
Triton appears to be visible to Neptune's SW, under the "ep" of Neptune in the label where the diagram published in Sky and Telescope shows it to be.
