Details:
It was our second night ,that we had to travel over the border to Finland, because of the over cloudy skies in and around the Tromso area. We found clear skies at luspa for the second night running ,not far from Karesuando. We expected the arrival of the CIR tonight with the 600 m / s solar wind , but we waited in vain until 4am on the 31st of December . It had still not arrived ,never the less the above aurora at kp 1 was very enjoyable, and a treat to photograph ,with the milky way over head. We where back in tromso for 630 am . Cant wait to see what tonight brings for the New Year. We wish you a Happy New Year from everyone at Marianne's 'Arctic Xpress . / M.H.O.E.A.C.T.
