This comet is already spectacular now, but in February 2017 will pass close to earth just 0,083UA (on 10): will be great ?!

It is indeed!! I had a look at 00:28 UT on the 30th with a 4-1/4 f/4.25 Newtonian RFT at 15 and 35X, the comet being 10.8 degrees above our prairie horizon at azimuth 234 degrees. Showed an ~ 6 arcmin coma with a quite condensed nucleus that sometimes twinkled! It was rather easy to pick up in a really good 7 x 50 binocular as well. I cannot wait until closest approach!
