Details:
This 25-frame animation shows Mercury setting over the 1,021-meter-high Tijuca Peak when it was 16.7° from the Sun and 9° above the horizon. The skyline can be seen at the end when zooming out is performed, showing bright Venus still relatively high (34.6°) in the western sky at 22:04 UTC, 27 minutes after sunset. The second entry results from combining 17 images (saved from a 4-minute video made with a Canon SX60 HS camera) by using the Startrails software in order to show the apparent path of the planet in Rio`s (-22.9° Lat.) sky.
