During the day I had eagerly been following the aurora forecast, excited at the prospect of some forthcoming great aurora potential. Together with my guests we trekked to our location across the icy paths as aurora peaked from behind the clouds and continued to tease for the next hour. As the evening progressed the clouds started to clear revealing some powerful aurora with short bursts of movements with bright greens and occasional fringes of pinks. We all cheered with excitement! As the Lights Over Lapland tour concluded with very happy guests I decided the night was still young. The forecast for the hours ahead looked promising and I figured at this point sleep was so overrated! So together with my colleague Chris I headed down to the lake to continue shooting. Just moments after arriving the aurora started to kick into action again. Bursting out from the top of Mount Nuolja and spreading across the sky with bursts of speeds and energy. By now my body was a little weary and time to retreat to bed, a late night but well worth it as the aurora danced in the sky!
