Details:
Flying around Europe last week, we witnessed some very heavy airglow. At the top of the troposphere, there are usually no clouds visible above. These days, though, it seemed that there was always a thin layer of cirrostratus where they shouldn't be. Only a photo with an exposure of a few seconds revealed its true nature: airglow, very heavy airglow, that many others saw from the ground in Europe last week. 6-8 s exposures with ISO 6400, 12 mm f/2.0 lens (micro 4/3 camera).
