Details:
After a week hunting the aurora in and around Whitehorse in the Yukon, I boarded flight 8892 from Whitehorse to Yukon to start my long journey home to New Zealand. Boy was I glad I booked a window seat, since as we cleared the clouds I got a front row seat to the start of the auroral activity from the Coronal Hole now facing the Earth. Until the aurora was washed out by dawn I gazed in wonder at the beautiful activity I saw outside the plane window
