Details:
A DMK21AU04 camera was placed at the prime focus of a Solarmax II, 60, BF15, H-alpha scope. 4 x 1000 frame AVIs were captured of overlapping quadrants of the Sun with the exposure set for the solar disk. Another 1000 frame AVI was captured of a quadrant with a prominence; the camera exposure set to reveal the prominence. The AVIs were stacked in Registax 5.1 running in Wine and the 4 resulting images from the disk exposure were combined using Autostitch running in Wine. The disk image and the prominence image were post processed, merged and colourised in the Gimp 2.9 to produce a single image showing the disk and the prominence.
