Was guiding for Lights Over Lapland tonight. I drove my clients out to one of my favourite aurora and landscape photography spots and we where all enjoying some good aurora views. Then one of the guests shout's "what's that?". I grabbed my binoculars and saw this amazing 'thing' moving slowly across the sky. I had a 70mm lens with me so took some pictures to see this weird crescent object moving in the sky. I'd never seen anything like it so gave Chad a call and he saw it on the Lights Over Lapland webcam I had to cut the call short as then a huge aurora started to develop around the moon and became a magnificent corona above our heads. The corona shot is at 1/2 a second exposure it was moving super fast. Fasted corona I've seen in my 3 years guiding. Super happy guests and super happy guide :)
