Just back in from the 1st night of the 5th Lights Over Lapland Autumn aurora tour. Can't believe I'm into the 2nd month of the season already! I've a group of 8 from Singapore. To start we had clouds then clear skies with no aurora then as soon as we got the carpark (the guys had got cold I guess the transition from Singapore to -8C takes at least one night to acclimatise!) the aurora started. I drove us to the nearest dark place which was here at the chair lift for the aurora sky station! We had some great dancing lights with greens and some purples. Some very happy guests as this was there 3rd trip to the arctic to see the lights and this was the first night they had seen them.
