Details:
Very low activity from 18:00 (UTC) until 21:30. We headed out to leave for the night thinking we were going to strike out on a rare crystal clear night in the Arctic. Driving away we saw a band in the sky begin to brighten and flow a bit, so we headed back. Some minor activity appeared, lots of magenta and red "spike" auroras. Suddenly a river/flow of green strengthened over head and the sky erupted to what must have been a KP5-6 with dancing/shimmering aurora bands. Very high paced movement. It went on and off like this for over an hour.
Mix of Nikon D810 and Canon 5D Mark IV images all around 3200 ISO f/.28 and 1-5 seconds.
