Details:
I've got a night off from guiding for Lights Over Lapland tonight and before it had even got properly dark I'd got a text from a friend saying there was aurora. I went straight down to the lake at 6pm and the aurora was already strong without a dark sky. After about 1/2 an hour the aurora really kicked off with purples and pinks visible to the naked eye. I had to get the shutter speed down a 1/5 of a second when they got to their brightest so you can even see the waves in the lake. I even got the rare shot of aurora above Lapporten which I was especially happy with as yesterday I did a 30km hike to the top.
