Details:
3rd night of the 3rd tour with Lights Over Lapland tonight. I went to a different site that I've only used for my own aurora photography before at the west side of lake Torneträsk. The aurora was slow to start and only just visible to the naked eye but soon built to another incredible show with one of the pictures being a 1 second exposure! We also had some red colours and even some pinks visible to the eye fringing the fast moving sections of green (see second image bottom right just above the mountains). I know the red colours are the interaction between the solar wind and the nitrogen but does anyone know what the pink fringes are from?
