Details:
I noticed a brightening in the Northern sky around 11:00 p.m. Central Time. It was nothing exceptional so I took some Milky Way photos and then the sky erupted! The Northern horizon was bright lime green and the red and purple fluttering curtains were exceptional. I was surprised by the intensity of this display considering it didn't appear to be very strong with Kp=4, unsettled. Lots of pulsating action and movement as well. A nice surprise.
