Day 6 of my 'see the northern lights every night of my aurora chase in Iceland' challenge. Success again, like every night before. this time was not easy, had to be very patient. Staying at Mid-Hvoll cottages ( in a container studio, the cottages were sold out ). clear sky target on spot, not a single cloud in sight. First watched from the cottages, then drove to Dyrholaye lighthouse. Waited till beyond midnight, weak aurora was seen but no major outbreak. Decided to return to the cottage while a friend decided to wait longer. As I arrived at the cottage the firework finally arrived. Awesome as always. And with unbelievable pulsating event for hours . To honor the wonderful icelandic people we welcomed the aurora by doing the viking clap chant. HUH !
