Details:
This amazing sight started out as a very bright white spot/flood light like what comes out of the top of the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. But then after a few minutes it began to change and split apart into two shades and forms. Eventually thinned out and faded over the course of about 45 minutes.
It traveled a very different path from the Auroras this morning. It was bright in the sky from Northwest to Southeast, crossing the Milky way. At one point toward the end when it was thinned out it was across the entire sky, even above my head. A spectacular sight, and now I know what to look for.
