For clip of this event, see: https://www.flickr.com/photos/79387036@N07/29695245880/in/dateposted/ Naked eye, this display just looked like a haze on the horizon. Based on Spaceweather.com alert for a 2nd night of aurora, I again set up my Nikon d7000, Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 @ f/2.8, iso 1600, 30 sec exposure to see if I could record any activity. Red rays in the above mentioned clip were more active than earlier this morning. From ~10PM to ~1AM outbursts occurred at 10:15PM and 11:38PM. The timelapse shows 1 second play time = 6 minutes lapse time. I suspect areas to my north again saw a great display. Hope tonight is even better.
