Onboard Norwegian flight DY388 on Sep.11th, on my way from Oslo home to Tromsø I was awarded with a particular nice display out the window. I intentionally switched my original seating from front right side, to left side just behind the wing, since I knew there was a possibility for auroras on my way north. Halfway, probably north of Trondheim fairly strong auroras started to appear. To get the shot was not easy. Handheld camera in moving plane in darkness! I had to use one of my jackets to over me and the window to prevent cabin-light reflections ruining the shot. The persons sitting next to me probably must have had a good laugh :) - Anyway I think it was worth it. Observing the aurora from air is definitely special. Getting some lights from below I think added the little extra to this perspective.
