Details:
My first big aurora of the season! Currently guiding a landscape workshop in Iceland and it was very clear weather tonight so kept looking outside. Could see no sign of auroras and it was only KP2. Decided to test with my camera and that can see better than my naked eye. Could see a little on a long exposure so decided to drive out to an old factory. As soon as we got there we could see the aurora had developed a lot and I sensed it was going to build further. I positioned myself with the factory towers in the shot. The building is lit as someone in the building had the opened a door with a light on to see what was occurring. He wasn't bothered by us or the aurora and went back in. I think it helped make the shot though :)
