Details:
Clear moonless skies with storms to my east was the perfect conditions to catch some late season sprites. These two red streaks were the brightest I recorded between 9 and 10PM. These were from a thunderstorm just north of North Platte, NE, some 250 miles to my east-northeast (Cheyenne, WY). The faint glow on the right horizon is the discharge that helped to trigger these sprites. I believe the faint glow just above the center of this image is M33.
