Details:
Yesterday I posted photographs showing the very thin New Moon below both Jupiter and Venus in the Mutare sky. This evening the waxing crescent moon had risen to close above Venus. The first two photographs taken at 18.00hrs LT show the pair just after they first became visible after sunset. As twilight fell Jupiter and a bright star close to Venus also appeared (third photograph). As darkness approached the crescent Moon with Earthshine close to Venus became a spectacular sight in the late evening sky (fourth photograph). The pictures were taken using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 compact camera using sunset scenery and then manual 1 second at ISO 1600 settings.
