Details:
The Perseids put on a great show this year. I counted 322 visually from 2am to 5am on the morning of the 12th, although I did see a bit more than that while setting up and taking down the camera. The hourly rate at my location easily exceeded 100 per hour. I set up my D750 and 20mm lens shooting near the radiant with these settings: 15sec, f/1.8, ISO 1600. I shot 701 frames with 114 of them containing meteors. In this composite image, a total of 117 Perseids are shown, although many of them are quite faint. For comparison, I was only able to capture 25 Perseids last year under the same conditions.
