Details:
The sun is alive with activity today! Snaking from the disk across the limb is a long and impressive prominence. From our vantage point, 22 earths would span the part seen against the sky. But this prominence runs obliquely. It is likely as long or longer than the distance from the earth to the moon. Active regions 2573 and 2574 and a ghostly filament are seen in the foreground. A good sun day for a Monday!
