Details:
The accompanying beautiful time-lapse animation shows the sun setting behind the Christmas Pass Hills, followed by the waxing crescent Moon and planets Jupiter, Mercury and Venus descending through a fading colored volcanic aerosol twilight arch until Venus touches the horizon in darkness. This was prepared from 14 still photographs taken between 17.15 and 18.27 LT on 05 August using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 camera in sunset auto and then manual exposure modes.
