Details:
I was monitoring the ADS-B radio broadcasts from nearby aircraft (ADS-B broadcasts position, altitude, airspeed and aircraft identification numbers) when I noted a transmission from an aircraft with an International Civil Aviation Organization number of BA1123 and an ID number of HBAL406. It was located at an altitude of 63,100 feet at a position just north of Cheyenne, WY. I recognized this as a high altitude balloon and rushed outside and was able to spot it in binoculars. I then set up my 8" f/10 telescope and took these photographs.
