Details:
Earlier today (24 July) conditions looked good for Aurora. Then when checking, the Kp was zero and solar wind had died down. During my nightly Astronomy Program at Glacier National Park, I was finishing my tour of the constellations when my assistant Gianni said we had an aurora. we all looked North and sure enough there it was in full glory! Images are Canon 60D, Tokina 10-16 f2.8 lens, ISO 5000 and 20 sec exposure. The vertical spires were dancing for all 40 park visitors to see much to our delight.
