Details:
The daytime moon is my current fascination. I am testing how well I can resolve the moon with my eye and with my Nikon Coolpix P600 camera. The unaided eye did surprisingly well picking out the two-day old crescent moon on Wednesday. As for the ultrazoom bridge camera, I used no tripod and therefore had to do some cropping as well as light/color editing to achieve a similar visual effect. Weather permitting, the moon can be sighted on all but three days/nights during lunar cycle!
