Here is an animation of NEO 2002 KL6 which according to the SpaceWeather website, is 1.4km in size and on 22nd July 2016 will approach planet Earth to within 26.6 LD. On the evening of 8th July 2016, from Brisbane, the magnitude 14.1 asteroid seen flitting silently between the background stars, mimicked a stone skipping over the surface of a pond as it passed through the field of my telescope. 180 sec exposures, 13 Frames. Tak Mewlon 180 F12, Tak x0.8 RF, Atik 414EX ccd. 8th July 2016, Brisbane, Qld, Australia 8:00-8:40PM (AEST UT+10) Centre of frame: J2000 17h 40m 55.695s +17° 07' 32.883" Pixel scale: 0.726 arcsec/pixel Cheers Dennis
