Details:
Arising at 2:30 am MDT on Sept 8 I found a pretty active display of Northern Lights to the northeast, though with very slow motion and a general movement to the south. The prominent feature was the tall blue/purple curtain. At this time of year near solstice I find we often get blue and purple auroras, I think from sunlight at high altitudes coming over the pole mixing with the usual red upper curtains.
