Details:
The sun was very high in the sky but the rainbow/rainline was low above the horizon (20 degree?). Also there was a 22 degree halo around the sun but not quite bright, the rainline was much brighter. Maybe someone can classify what I saw?

Matthias, what you are naming the rainline is caused by ice high up in the atmosphere, and not caused by rain. This is a nice example of a circumhorizon arc. Glad that you were able to see it, and share the image!
