Details:
When I first checked the sky as it was getting dark enough (around 12:30 am or so) it didn't look like much happening, so I went to bed and got up again a little before 2:00 am to check again. Looked promising, so I grabbed my gear and headed out. No moon made for some nice dark sky, and again, although the auroras weren't the very finest I've seen, it was a nice couple of hours out in the still of a Canadian summer night. Even caught a stray meteor streaking near the top of the second image here. The star trails image is a roughly 36 minute exposure. All images shot with Pentax K-5 with Sigma 10-20mm lens (at 10mm), f/3.5, ISO 6400 & 3200 (ISO 80 for the star trails).
