Details:
I stepped out at around 12:30 am to have a look at the sky, as after being somewhat stormy for several days, it was now beautifully clear. Even though spaceweather was telling me the activity level was only kp 3, there were some auroras visible low in the north. The moon never rose for the time that I stayed out and the dark skies made the aurora viewing better. Nothing really spectacular, but a really nice way to start our Canada Day celebrations! Shot with a Pentax K-5 with Sigma 10-20mm lens. ISO 6400 & 3200, f/3.5, exposures of 10 seconds & 15 seconds (the final image was shot at ISO 80, f/5.6, exposure of 61.5 minutes). The middle two images are panoramas consisting of multiple images shot in succession and then stitched together later on computer.
