Details:
The North American Monsoon is slowly developing across northern Mexico but the full effects have not yet moved into Arizona. Nonetheless, some moisture brought thunderstorms and a brief respite from the heat to the region this week.

This is a fantastic shot. Is there a secret technique ??

Thanks! During daylight hours I use a lightning trigger -- and there are many to choose from. At night, I just leave the shutter open for 15-30 seconds. This was shot at ISO 200, f/8, and 1/15 second with a variable neutral density filter.

Thanks David, you have inspired me to give it a go.
We tend to have more rain than thunder in the U.K, but the results are well worth waiting for.
