Looking West. This was probably about 5:15 am one day last week when I was opening the parking lot gates at South. Ever wish you had a digital SLR with you all the time? My phone camera doesn't do it justice. I really wasn't sure what I was seeing at first. The sunrise behind me was blazing red and I thought that was going to be the most incredible thing I saw that day. Then I turned around and saw this. What you are seeing just to the left of the light standard is a rainbow that is almost entirely pink, due to the extremely red sunrise. If your resolution is good enough and your color vision is as well, you just might be able to make out a thin green band on the left side of the rainbow.
