What do you think – did the fisherman really catch something in the moment? Well, this will remain as a bit mystery, but what is sure for 100 percents is that he had completely spectacular view to the Noctilucent clouds over the Seč reservoir of the Czech Republic on 18 July 2016. The sky was full of diverse species of clouds which made the view even more dramatic. Low clouds are from coming dissipating thunderstorm while the purple color comes from higher clouds of late dusk. Those clouds are about 3-5 km above the ground. The electric-blue belongs to the highest ones, the NLCs, located much more higher – 85 km. The sun below horizon is still illuminating them while the first stars are visible in clearer part of the sky. The „calm before the storm makes of the water surface natural mirror. All all the scene is illuminated by almost full Moon, slightly hidden over the clouds as well. How dramatic and idyllic in same moment, right? More: http://www.astronom.cz/horalek/?p=2457
