I took this photo in Marysville Washington with my cell phone camera on May 31, 2016. I later learned it is called a "fire rainbow" It was a hot sunny day and we hadn't any rain for days. I heard it was on our local Seattle news.

Actually, it is a Rainbow not at all. Only the colours are alike. The image shows an ice crystal halo effect, by high atmosphere thin cloud ice Crystals. The fire rainbow is nothing else but a so-called circumhorizontal arc, which can be formed when sun elevation is higher as 58 degrees.
