Details:
The photos, taken with a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX300 camera only, between 21:44 and 21:55 UT, show the Moon (99% illuminated) rising over Rio de Janeiro. The planets Mars (in opposition today) and Saturn, besides the star Antares are identified in the second photo. The first image, taken at 21:55 UT, when the Moon was 23° above the Southeastern horizon of Rio, was produced by stacking 10 photos with Registax and further processing the resulting image with PhotoScape for enhanced contrast and sharpness.
