Details:
Mercury and the Sun photographed through a FLT-110 apo refractor at prime focus. The inset picture was photographed with a 4x Powermate.
This is the second Mercury transit that I have witnessed as I did also observe one on the 6th of May 2003 (second picture).
Photographed with a Nikon D1X through a Meade ETX-105 Maksutov. The solar filter gave the blue tint.
