Details:
Last nights aurora outside Thunder Bay. For about 2 minutes during show the storm surged seemingly out of nowhere displaying the most vibrant colours I have ever seen. I was in the middle of a 25 minute exposure at the time so no shots specifically of that unbelievable outburst. But at that exact moment the loons coincidentally started calling from lakes all over the area and stopped as soon as the extremely bright lights subsided. Didn't hear them call once before or afterwards during the 3 or so hours I was out there. I was in awe as well. Very cool moment in nature. Usually I feel like I'm just watching alone in the darkness!
