Details:
At first the sunset appeared to be a common (in San Francisco) mock mirage sunset, but then waves on inversions made the limbs of the sun look as they were at fire. As sunset progressed it developed characteristics of Novaya Zemlya Effect, The black lines seen at some images are superior mirage of the sea surface. There were also some green flashes but because of the reddening of the atmosphere they were not very bright. Of course the best way to enjoy this remarkable sunset is to watch the video I filmed https://youtu.be/JaDtEX_KWtU
