Details:
This evening (21 April) the Full Moon rose into a pink Belt of Venus above some indigenous Musasa Trees on the skyline of Cecil Kop Nature Reserve just after the sun had set below the opposite horizon. As the moon continued to rise the belt of Venus was replaced by Earth Shadow which surrounded it and darkened the twilight sky allowing it to shine brightly. The accompanying images, taken between 17.36 and 17.46 LT, with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 compact camera in intelligent auto mode, show the sequence of events.
