Details:
Jupiter is the dominant planet at this time of year, shining brightly after sunset. And you have to get up pretty early in the morning to see Saturn and Mars at their best. Not to be outdone, Mercury was at its best tonight around 8:45pm just after sunset. A little later, the ISS made an appearance in this shot with Mercury at lower right above the horizon. The tiny inner planet is easily visible and going to get better. Mercury is approaching its greatest elongation for the year on April 18th. Also visible in this shot taken looking west over Lake Ontario are Orion, Hyades and Pleiades.
